For our first Fourth of July in Shreveport we decided to take in both of the big firework shows. On the 3rd we went to Harrah's Louisiana Downs Racetrack to watch the display with our friends Sam and Macy.
We ended the night with ice cream at Baskin's Robbins.
(I think all my pictures make Josh a little crazy-ha)
On the Fourth, we spent the morning at the pool and went to Chili's that night for dinner (of course).
After dinner, we went downtown to watch the firework display over the Red River.
We stood on top of Horseshoe Casino parking garage and had an awesome view.
The fireworks over the river were my favorite, they were so beautiful.
After the fireworks we headed home to spend the rest of the evening with our puppies.
We did sparklers in the backyard, Leo loved them and of course Leyla hid inside!
Even though we missed spending the 4th with our families, it was a great first 4th of July as a married couple! We had so much fun, we all needed the weekend to rest up afterwards.
Such a busy 4th of July for our two cuties living away in the State of Louisiana-looks like a good time was had by all! We all missed you and Josh-but happy to see that you are enjoying life with each other and Leyla and Leo! xoxoxo
